Female and I am 11
I have Biliary Atresia
I was 18 months or 1&1/2 years old
I can't remember it but I feel sad hearing about it
My mum and dad told me what happened and showed me the photos
I can't go to sleep overs at my friends birthday parties because of my medicines
Of course, I am on Prednisone and Tacrolimus
I go twice a year, once at Swindon and once at Kings College Hospital
The professors, doctors and nurses are all really kind and understanding. Also they are always happy to help you and answer your questions
It worries me that you don't know whats going to happen and if you are going to have another operation
Just because you are different from most other people doesn't make you weird. It makes you just as special as everyone else and don't ever ever forget it
Sometimes when I feel upset about my condition I want to tell my friends but they don't understand because they don't know what it's like. If you are in the same position then I learnt that I should tell my parents or the doctors. I hope reading this has helped you
