I'm 12 and I'm a girl

What is your liver condition?

I had biliary atresia and I've had a liver transplant

How old were you when you was diagnosed?

I was 4 weeks old

How did you feel?

I don't know I can't remember

How were you told?

When I was about 7 my parents explained it to me

How does it affect you?

It doesn't affect me too much. I used to think I was different to everyone else but my mum and dad told me I am not alone

Are you on any medicines?

Yes- ciclosporin

How often do you go to appointments?

I go 2 times a year

How are you treated there?

I'm treated very well. I used to be scared of hospitals but now I'm ok with them

What are the good and bad things about having a liver condition?

The bad things are not knowing what the future will bring and being more self conscious.
The good thing is I'm a lot more understanding of other peoples problems

Does anything worry you about having a liver condition?

I worry incase something goes wrong with my liver

Live life to the full, you are not alone
