Im 14 and female

What is your liver condition?

I have Biliary Atresia

How old were you when you was diagnosed?

I was 3 months old

How did you feel?

I didn’t know because I was too young :)

How were you told?

When I was growing up I was told by my mum about my liver condition….I found it quite weird to be honest

How does it affect you?

It affects me by having days off school and makes me feel special

Are you on any medicines?

I take Alfacalcidol, Diphroamol, Prednisolone,Tacrolimus

How often do you go to appointments?

I go every 6 months…. (I think)

How are you treated there?

I have had a liver transplant so when I go they just normally give me blood tests and an ultrasound

What are the good and bad things about having a liver condition?

The good things are that I am a special child for it

The bad things are when I feel really sick with it

Does anything worry you about having a liver condition?

No not really :)

If you have a liver disease, embrace it and say you are special for this reason
