A) There are a number of reasons why he may not be telling you what is wrong with your brother, but its really to say that hes probably not keeping you in the dark on purpose. When a child gets a diagnosis of a liver condition, it generally a real shock.
It may be helpful to pick a time when your dad is around and tell him how you feel. If you do have lots of questions buzzing around your head- jot them down so when you do get the chance to talk to him you can get all your questions answered (sometimes it takes a while to get a diagnosis and sometimes there is no diagnosis so he may not have all the answers). Remember if your brother isnt around at the moment and is in hospital he is in the best possible hands.
The hospitals will be doing everything they possibly can to look after him. If youre struggling to talk to your dad, you may want to talk to someone else you trust, as its really important you dont bottle up your feelings.
