Event Planner

Here are a few things you might want to think about when planning your event

Where?

Look for a venue and make sure it has all the facilities you need.

When?

Choosing a good date and time to hold your event is important. Make sure it doesn’t clash with other events such as the FA Cup final, Olympics or a relative’s birthday.

How much

Put together a realistic budget of possible costs. Remember, you are trying to raise money so keep your costs as low as possible.

What?

Whatever you decide to do try and think of imaginative ways to make fundraising fun for you and your target audience.

Who?

Think about who you would like to attend your event.

Safe?

To be safe, check with us or a responsible adult to consider all Health and Safety issues if you are organising an event.

Publicity?

Spread the word through posters, flyers, the web, and the local press. Contact communications@childliverdisease.org or give call/text on 0121 212 6015.

Help?

Rope in as many pairs of hands as you need to help with the preparations and on the day of the event.

Legal?

If you are under 16, you may not be able to hold or take part in some events. Before getting started and to avoid disappointment, call / text 0121 212 6010 or send an email to fca@childliverdisease.org. (Note: You can hold raffles but please check as there are certain restrictions with each type of raffle). If you are under 16, please get the help of a responsible adult.
