To help you decide what to do, each idea is coded, showing you how much money you could make and how difficult it would be to organise.

Get your musical friends and family to enter a band and pay an entrance fee. The best band could win a small prize or trophy
Baby sitting £ ![]()
Look after some little ones and get their parents/carers to donate money to CLDF. Recommended for over 15’s!!

Get friends to bring round their favourite board game and charge each person to play. Charge per game to raise extra funds!
Car wash £ ![]()
Clean friends and families cars and ask them for a donation.. Ask teachers if you can clean their cars at lunchtime!
Comfy-chair day £ ![]()
Auction off the privilege to spend every lesson for a day sat in an armchair! (Organisers of the auction must transport the chair to each lesson)

Whether it’s a sports activity, sponsored silence or even a quiz, these are easy to organise and great fun too. People can be sponsored or pay an entry fee depending on the competition. Winners could receive a small prize.

Ask your school/college if the money from the next disco can go to CLDF. Or for the more adventurous, organise one yourself and be the DJ!
Dog walking £ ![]()
Walk friends and families dogs and ask the owners to make a donation to CLDF

Ask teachers/parents/relatives to consider donating 1 hour of their pay every month or year to CLDF

Hide mini Easter eggs and charge friends and family to hunt and fill their baskets. Clues can be provided – at an added cost of course!

Players pay a fee to take part, and tickets can also be sold for people to watch. They could even take part in fancy dress.

Have a variety of stalls to sell bits and bobs, cakes, sweets and even some fun stalls like hook-a-duck and face painting.

Go to a pretend jail for the day. The more sponsorship raised, the longer you must stay there! Alternatively, raise a set amount to make your escape!

Sing a-long to your favourite tunes. Make money by charging people an entry fee, or even taking donations to get someone off the mic!!
Knobbly knees competition ££ ![]()
Get people to show off their knees and be creative by painting faces on them. People pay to enter and the most creative wins a small prize.
Lasses’ Day ££ ![]()
Invite all your female friends around for a pampering session. Charge for beauty treatments and really spoil yourselves.
Lads’ Day ££ ![]()
Get the lads round for a game of football or a battle of the teams on your favourite computer game. Charge an entry fee to raise funds.
Left Hand Day £ ![]()
Do everything you’d normally do with you right hand, with your left hand. Get sponsored by friends and family and get them to take part too! (If you are left handed, use your right hand)

Sit back and enjoy your favourite movies with friends. Charge an entrance fee and sell popcorn, drinks and snacks

Place coins along a snake in the playground or pavement.

Pay a fee to wear your own clothes to school for a day. Give it a theme such as wear something yellow day, anti-fashion day or zany clothes day.
